Kehinde Bankole has played roles from Shakespeare's Globe Theatre UK to roles on blockbuster films in Nigeria. A cast on Netflix original series by Akin Omotoso, Kehinde was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, as a twin to both late architect dad Babatunde Bankole and administrative secretary mum Titilayo Bankole, who encouraged her to begin informal drama and music training as a growing child along with her 5 other close knit siblings. she studied mass communication in Olabisi Onabanjo University before shifting her focus to a career in modeling, admitting the knowledge has immensely helped her entrepreneurial business life and acting career. Kehinde came into limelight after her television debut on Nigerian drama series Super Story and wowed cinema audiences in her film debut as teacher Tawa, the prime target of a serial killer in acclaimed director Kunle Afolayan's psychological thriller October 1 (2014) alongside veteran actor Sadik Dabar, Nick Rhys, Fabian Lojede, Lawrence Stubbings and others earning her Best Actress, Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (2015). 2015 also saw her sail up on television as seductive housewife Kiki Obi on Desperate Housewives Africa, the Nigerian remake of the hit American series. Her stage credit includes playing Hermione "Oya" in "The Winter's Tale" at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, adapted as "Itan Oginintin" by Renegade Theatre (2012), The Duchess (Iyalode) in "The Duchess of Malfi" re-imagined as "Iyalode Of Eti" by Utopia Theatre UK (2016), Queen Moremi as Queen Moremi by Terra Kulture Lagos (2019) and her own one woman play "Chronicles Of Iya Risi" produced by Sarah Lawal (Lagos Theatre Festival) 2017. Kehinde keeps music close and co voiced the Lux-beauty promotion cover song produced by Cobhams Asuquo in Nigeria in 2009 as a Lux Brand Ambassador and Face, one of her few beauty pageant exploration adventures. The declaration of Kehinde as Best Of Nollywood's "Revelation Of The Year' Award Winner in 2009 for the Yoruba language movie Elerin-Eye has further served to spur the actress and budding film producer to working harder and searching towards "more". She believes Africa is ready to share, push and shine more and is constantly ready for a new adventure. She spares any free time working on a few projects of her own in various stages of production. 'A Taste Of Phobia' an indie horror anthology by Italian film maker, Domiziano Cristopharo and Tony newton, featured Kehinde in 2017, directed by sunny king.
