Carlo is a Writer, Director and Producer, living in Los Angeles. Growing up in Mexico, Carlo Olivares Paganoni was fascinated by Mexican mythology and fantasized about its deities being characters in an epic adventure. Deviating from his initial passion for music, he embarked on a journey that led him to advertising. Quickly after, he was hired by Cartoon Network Latin America, to work as a Writer-Producer, in Atlanta. Driven to tell bigger stories, he created a series of shorts called, Santo Contra Los Clones. The micro-series, based on the famous Mexican luchador Hijo del Santo, El Enmascarado de Plata, was greenlit as a show at Cartoon Network Studios, in 2007. Wanting to immerse himself in storytelling, he studied Screenwriting at UCLA and later graduated with an MFA in Film from Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena. His thesis short film "Cardboard Camera" won a Student Emmy®.
