Allan Cheng has spent the last 4-years developing his craft of acting in both Australia and the United States. Born in the small city of Adelaide, South Australia, Allan is one of five children to Hung and Lan Cheng. As a young child, Allan spent most his time in front of the television, obsessively watching mature films where he discovered his desires for dramatic acting as well as his strong passion for American culture and history. After taking drama lessons and preforming in plays throughout high school, Allan in his early 20s, decided to try his luck as an entrepreneur, founding and developing businesses in both the fitness and the health juice industry where he achieved some success. At the age of 25, Allan decided to pivot towards his true passion of acting and moved to Melbourne, Victoria in 2015 where he spent a year studying at the 16th Street Actors Studio. Here, he attended a 3-day workshop from the legendary Larry Moss who coached the likes of Helen Hunt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jim Carrey to name a few. In 2016, Allan then moved to Sydney, NSW, to study at the renown Actors Centre Australia for a further year where he also dabbled in commercial work, presenting in television advertisements and commercial print. In 2017, Allan made the trip over to Los Angeles where he took advantage of the much wider range of resources in acting and entertainment. He spent a year at Edgemar Center of the Arts while working with renown acting coaches, scene rehearsal partners, improvisational and masterclasses which he still actively maintains to date. In 2018, Allan believed his abilities were at a stage to start looking for work as an actor and landed a small role in Michelle Danner's Bad Impulse, also starring Paul Sorvino, Sonya Walger, Dan Lauria, Grant Nowler and James Landry Hebert. Allan is always constantly seeking self-improvement in his craft and personal life. He strongly believes no matter where or what level you are in anything, there is always room to continue to learn and develop your knowledge and skills. His childhood idols and key sources of inspiration are: Bruce Lee, Muhammed Ali, Nelson Mandela, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Allan enjoys reading, writing, working out, and still obsessively watches films.
