Pedro Antonio Gutierrez Figueroa was born in Trinidad, Bolivia, on May 4,1962. Literature, philosophy and film lover. During his high school and college years he got closer to the arts, developing his abilities as a writer and a painter, showing great skills. While getting his major degree on Civil Engineering, he was part of a poem anthology book, several art expositions and got recognition as a painter during the Art Biennale of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. This approach to arts become more intense years after, when Pedro writes his first script and decides to balance his CEO obligations with his passion and start doing what he really feels he's ready for, movies. In 2016 he starts his film company, Abubuya Producciones, writes and direct Bárbara, his first work. The movie talk about society issues, migration, family disintegration, corruption and violence against women. After this experience he start working on his next movie to be released on 2019, Santa Clara, an amazon western film. Inspired by the stories of his childhood while growing in Beni department, Pedro develops an intricate drama about the hard life of the cowboys of the Bolivian east during the 60's. With this background, through Abubuya Producciones he will be a co-producer for the upcoming film Emputadas, by Tomas Bascopé, that will include the participation of an international cast in 2019. Personal details He is a math, calculus and algebra book author, books that have been used in the school and college system reaching over 3 million students. Since 1988 to 1992 he was a Mathematics college teacher in the Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra (UPSA), Universidad Autonoma Gabriel Rene Moreno (UAGRM) Universidad NUR, and the Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho. He have a degree on Superior Education and a top business management title from INCAE. Writing and publishing 30 years ago he co founded the Hoguera Press Editorial House, owns the 27% of the company and is part of the CEOs. He has giving countless talks and workshops to school teachers all over Bolivia from 1992 to 2002, time when he started to turn over real state business.
