Alex Farias

Alex Farias is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, As a director, she has completed three films with her first film premiering at the Cannes Short Film Festival. She has worked as a camera operator and studied screenwriting at the University of Washington and NYU Tisch. She has two award-winning feature length screenplays, one of which was finalist in the ScreenCraft feature screenplay competition and the other won Best Feature at the Harlem Film Festival. She has spent extensive time overseas and worked for multiple organizations promoting human welfare in various countries. Most recently, she directed a theater piece at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles as a benefit for the Midnight Mission on Skid Row, raising over $125,000 for the homeless community in the greater Los Angeles area. She is currently in production for her first documentary feature film.
