Lauren Mary Magura was born on July 18, 1989 in Denville, NJ to Adam and Kelley Magura, and grew up in Sussex County, NJ. She has two brothers Brett (sister in-law Jessica Lain Magura) and Mathew Magura, and four nieces and nephews, Luke, Cadence, Kiera (who have appeared in the award winning show 'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel', and the feature film 'Humor Me'), and Blake Magura. Lauren's career began at NBCUniversal in media operations supporting NBCU's Digital Distribution, Broadcast Television Distribution, Cable Entertainment Channels', On Air Promotions and Programming and the 2012 London Olympics. She transitioned into publicity and marketing for Universal Pictures, and has implemented and worked red carpet premieres, press junkets, celebrity public appearance tours, screening programs, radio interview tours, guerrilla, word of mouth and experiential marketing campaigns and more. Lauren's love for film enabled her to gain years of experience in film production which led her to gain investment and launch her own company at SXSW called Cinematcher: a digital platform streamlining hiring for film productions. Cinematcher was selected by 7 high-level, media executives from Comcast to participate in their inaugural EDGE accelerator program geared toward the development of, and investment in diverse owned businesses specializing in media, marketing, production and digital tech. Lauren has experience leading business ventures for Elijah Wood's Film, TV and Video Game production house Company X / SpectreVision, and business strategy for Company X Marketing: an experiential agency owned by Company X / SpectreVision. Lauren develops and produces film projects and her notable credits include executive producer of No Man of God starring Elijah Wood and Luke Kirby, executive producer of Saurus City starring Dennis Quaid, Ron Perlman and Emma Roberts, and on set producer for the Shudder original podcast Visitations, hosted by Daniel Noah and Elijah Wood. She also advises and mentors female-led ventures, and is an advocate for diversity inclusion in business and entertainment. Lauren is the VP Entertainment of Ingredient X, the film and software development studio specializing in blockchain, DeFi and NFT technologies including the creation of Film.io, the world's most powerful decentralized filmmaking ecosystem that places Hollywood decision-making onto the blockchain and into the hands of creators and fans, to which Lauren is a co-creator.
