Malachi Moore

Malachi James Moore was born in Atlanta, Georgia and has since lived in 9 other states across the country. Perceived as an 'old soul', he developed a passion for film and writing at an early age that proved to be therapeutic with his upbringing. During his time as an undergraduate at Boston College, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Film, where he worked to personalize his distinct, creative voice specifically through poetry and lyrical essay. Writer/director for the award-winning short animation, "Out of the Box" (2019), Malachi's avant garde methods in utilizing his past education of philosophy and classical literature has produced stories with a specific candor of the black experience. Now as a newly MFA grad, Malachi's character-driven, deep-seated stories look to give voice to an uncharted demographic of the Black male's psyche.
