Dhruv Sekhar

An engineer turned film director from India, who shot to fame with his movie 'Lovers Club (2017)' which is the first indian commercial film to be shot on an iPhone, with a group of fresh artists and technicians. He was born in a middle class family and a native of Chittoor district which belongs to the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. During his college days he got inspired through films and has conducted stage performances with his own writings to which he got many awards and appreciations. During this phase he decided to make his career as a Director in movies. Before working in the field of cinema, he worked as a Network engineer in Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana state in India. Later he got introduced to a famous director B. Gopal in telugu film industry, who gave him a chance to work as an assistant director. Later he worked for many other independent films such as Subhavela, under Usha kiron Movies banner produced by Ramoji Rao (Ramoji Film City) and directed by B.V. Ramana. Before making his debut as a filmmaker he worked for some commercial ads and did few short films.
