Andru's career in entertainment started at the young age of four where he worked in both the film, and television industry, in Vancouver, Canada. His diverse set appearances included Stephan J. Canell's "Wiseguy" starring Ken Wahl, and "We're No Angels" starring Sean Penn, Robert DiNero, and the then up and coming Demi Moore. The highlight of his theatre career was when he was still in middle school. Andru was exposed to the complex world of Shakespeare, through the University of Arizona Theatre Department, in Tucson, Arizona, when he was cast to perform the role of Fleance, the son of Banquo, in Macbeth. It was around that time that his interests expanded to radio, where, at 13, Andru entered into an mentorship program within radio. Andru has a total of 19 years in the radio world working with major radio stations across the United States and Canada. He has completed internships and careers with Clear Channel Communications, America's largest radio network. His radio career started in Tucson, Arizona on stations such as (the now defunct) 92.9 "Cool FM" (KWFM) , 93.7 KRQQ FM, then moved to Mix 93.1 (WHYN-FM) WHYN 560 AM and Kix 97.9 Country (WPKX FM) in Springfield, MA. Andru has worked with many radio talents and has worked under the same roof as R-Dub (host of "Slow Jams with R-Dub"), San Diego's famous "Rich Brother Robin", Tucson's "Nixon Low", Lisa "Carr", Mike "Hollywood" Hafner, Winnipeg's legendary "Howard Manshein" and America's TV favourite, Gary Coleman, (who had an internship at 93.7 KRQ FM, the same time as Andru!). Andru has hosted, produced and edited multiple independent on-air radio shows including shows such as "Late Night with Dr Dru" (WCCH 103.5 FM), "The Better Than Bob Show" and "The Aimless and Andy Show" (CJUM 101.5 FM), as well as the highly acclaimed radio program entitled "Wake Up Winnipeg" a 30 minute news-magazine talk show which aired on CJUM 101.5 FM. Andru is currently working on his next big project, a television program called "Highway to Hamilton" which will air in the Summer of 2018 on Cable 14 Hamilton.
