Douglas Deaton

Douglas "Doug" Deaton is a native Texan who was raised on a large ranch along the Mexican border. He taught horseback riding for the University of North Texas and worked as a wrangler and gunfighting actor at the famous Texas Lil's Diamond A Ranch near Ft. Worth. Doug was a police officer in the Dallas area for 26 years. He has extensive, real-world experience in high-risk SWAT team operations, uniformed police patrol, and criminal investigations. He spent the last five years of his police career as a Homicide Lieutenant before retiring with an honorable discharge to start his own investigations company. He is a certified firearms instructor in several shooting disciplines and has decades of practice with modern and "Old West" firearms. Doug currently works as an expert witness, consultant, and technical advisor.
