Amajae Hardy-Jones is an 18-year-old actress in the Philadelphia area that is making waves in the entertainment industry. At a very young age, Amajae has developed a passion for acting and debuted in various performances. Amajae began her acting career with various faith based plays such as "Annie", an inspirational stage play at New Life Ministries Intl. Amajae was also actively involved in many productions such as "Cinderella: The Bride of Christ" and was cast as the lead in a traveling stage play called "Not Without My Hijab" that follows the journey of Aneesa, a teenage Muslim girl struggling with many of the societal issues teenagers face: bullying, self-acceptance, and self-confidence. Along with these issues, Aneesa is also experiencing a conflict of conscience as she strives to remain on the "straight path" of Islam in terms of her outward appearance. Created by Halimah Deoliveria, Produced by Kaliek Hayes, Childhoods Lost Productions and Written and Directed by Bilal Islam. This production is still traveling and will be performed at the "Venice Island Theatre" on August 15th, 2020. Not only has Amajae graced the stage in multiple plays and performances she has also trained intensely with various acting coaches. With five years of acting experience in theatre and film, Amajae Hardy-Jones has trained at Aikan Performing Arts in Philadlephia. Aikan Acts instills invaluable skills that begins with performing and transcends to personal growth - one student at a time. As a three year student at Aikan Acts, Amajae Hardy-Jones has constantly booked roles in short films, independent films, stage productions, and received IMDB credits. With rigorous training Amajae became proficient in the arts and has put her training into use. Amajae's professional training also includes artists directors such as Troy Rowland of Rowland's Acting Studios. With standards of excellence Amajae Hardy-Jones has trained along side Rowland Acting Studios for a year. With a mission driven business Rowland Acting Studios involves professional training, private coaching, online audition techniques, and networking opportunities within the entertainment industry. For fun, Amajae loves to travel and partake in volunteering. Amajae's zealous attitude for helping others became evident in her involvement with a non-profit organization called, "Philly Youth." Philly Youth's vision is to improve the lives of the youth who often find themselves forgotten and neglected. Philly Youth has collaborated with individuals, companies and community partners to bring resources to the youth of the city with emphasis of outreach. Through activities such as our annual back to school drive and partnering up with organizations, such as EF Tours to allow the city to travel internationally. With the opportunity to broaden her horizon Amajae has traveled to Belize where she spent nine days exploring the reefs, rain forests, and Mayan ruins. Her zeal for adventure included zip lining and cave-tubing in the deep jungles of Central America. Her love for the ocean influenced her to obtain her scuba certification. In Belize, Amajae visited the local elementary school making friends with the native school children. This opportunity has given Amajae the opportunity to broaden her horizon, heighten cultural awareness and build confidence.
