Born in Mexico City in 1986. She graduated summa cum laude from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) as a filmmaker. Her short films, Miel (2011), Sangre de mi Sangre (2014) and Malva (2016), were part of the official selection of more than 70 international film festivals and earned several awards, as well as a Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nomination for Best Fiction Short film. She received the Young Creators FONCA grant. Lucero was the second unit director of Tesoros (2017), which premiered in the 67th edition of the Berlinale. In 2018 she co-wrote Netflix's Desenfrenadas (Caponeto), as well as co-writing the series Todo va a estar bien (La Corriente del Golfo & Netflix), directed by Diego Luna. She was in charge of adapting the entire 1st season of Argentinian - Mexican HBO series "Amsterdam" by Gustavo Taretto (2021), and is in talks of leading the mexican version of NY hit show "High Maintenance" (Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair). Lucero is currently developing her first feature hybrid film Cuerpos Celestes, an intimate tale of motherhood she wrote and will direct. She is also starting up project development company Celeste, focused on developing new narrative talent in Latin America.
