James Cichocki is a Western New York actor, director, costume designer, and arts administrator known to local audiences for his roles at the Alleyway Theatre in A Christmas Carol, Killer Rack, Girls Who Walked on Glass and others, as well as Talley's Folly (Red Thread Theatre), Much Ado about Nothing (Shakespeare in Delaware Park), and Bright Colors and Bold Patterns (BUA), for which he won the 2019 Broadway World Regional Award for Best Actor in a Play . Regional acting credits include: Moonchildren (Sanford Meisner Theatre, NYC) and Panto Goldilocks (Stages Repertory Theater, Houston). Mr. Cichocki holds an MLA in Art History from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, with a primary focus on the religious art of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. He is currently the Executive Director of the Elmwood Village Association as well as Executive Director for Ascension for the Arts, WNY's newest entertainment venue and community center. But by far his greatest role is father to Isabel, a senior special needs black lab.
