Kasidi Vi (at birth Vitaliy Ponomaryov) was born on October 1, 1993 in Ukraine, as oldest to the family of sailor and a professor of the Ukrainian language and literature. At the age of 15, he leaves school and begins to actively engage in comedy, traveling around Ukraine. As a result of the growing conflict on political grounds between Russia and Ukraine, Vitaly's family tries to play the lottery - the Green Card, but to no avail. Next year, Kasidi is one of the winners and decides to go to live in the USA. In parallel with comedy, Vi is fond of music and creates his own rap group - White Vudoo. Studying the culture of America, Vitaly gets acquainted with the counter-culture of American literature and discovers the work of Hunter S Thompson. After watching "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", fascinated by Johnny Depp's acting - Kasidi is interested in acting and the film industry in general. In 2015, he moved to Miami, where he changed jobs from assistant waiter to construction worker, unsuccessfully trying to advance his career as a musician and actor. After an accident, he ends up in the hospital with a collapse of his lungs, after recovering, he decides to move to Los Angeles in 2017. Changing various low-skilled gigs, including working at the cannabis farm, he proceeds to finish his first album. In 2019 he meets his childhood friend - Jean Petrov, who lives in the Bay Area and is engaged in film directing, under the patronage of Rob Nilsson. In 2020, Jean invites Kasidi to take part in the title role in his first feature film - Love Funeral, where he showcases his music
