Marilene Donini DE Melo was born in Porto Alegre, in 1970. She is married and has three children. Before being literate, she already had an artistic streak. At the age of 4 she asked to always hear the same story, and ended up decorating. On a visiting day, he placed himself in the spotlight and, without knowing how to read a single word, went "reading the book", and listening to the praise of his audience... He started his career in advertising in 1986, he did numerous works in photo, video and catalogs, as main cast and figuration. Thinking about realizing her dream of being an actress, Mari started with the basic module of an actors course for commercials, with Artur Pinto, at the now-defunct Kid's and Big's, in 1996. Mari continued working and took a course in acting for TV with Luís D'Mohr, in 1998. In 2001, he made his first appearance in a feature film, The Man Who Copy, by Jorge Furtado, and in 2002, in the second episode of Summer Tales - Games of Love and Chance - RBS TV, Porto Alegre Film House. In 2008 Mari gave birth to Pedrinho. He took a break from his artistic ambitions to dedicate himself to him, who was diagnosed with a very complicated syndrome (deletion of chromosome 13). Pedrinho filled his world with love, emotion, concern. Mari says it was like driving a fire truck without brakes, and she had no idea what she was doing or what was going to happen. The actress left a book unfinished and the script of a short film for later. In 2011, things were calmer and, with Pedrinho stable, she returned to invest in her dream. He continued in advertising and acting in films, such as the HBO series Phases Woman, also with Porto Alegre Film House, in 2011, and the feature film Warlords, Part II - Step of the Cross, in 2013. In 2014, she did an acting workshop for commercials at Núcleo Set, with producer Bárbara Barbosa and director Rodrigo Castelhano. Acting in cinema and TV was his dream so, in 2014, he took the Interpretation course for TV and Cinema, basic and intermediate modules, and in 2015 the advanced module, also at Núcleo Set, with Rodrigo. Still doing commercials, in 2015 he auditioned and got a participation in the feature Tales of Tomorrow, by director Pedro Marques. Then came the lead role in the short Intimamentes, by Double Filmes. In 2017, she debuted as a leading actress in a feature film, with the film Pure Fiction, directed by Rodrigo Castelhano. For the character Laura in Pure Fiction, she received the Best Actress Award at the 1st Festival of Brazilian Independent Audiovisual (Originated streaming platform). In 2019, he acted as a supporting actor in Plauto Cruz, A Musical Breath, a feature film by Guarujá Productions, directed by Rodrigo Portela. She then acted as a supporting actress in Last Judgment, a web series by Supreme Films, directed by Felipe Borba, with whom she returned to work in 2022 in the short Doce Rosa, playing her first villain. "Acting is what I love to do most in life, I'm a movie lover and I love researching and talking about everything related to cinema, movies, series and iconic characters," she says.
