Karolyn has spent two decades building a unique skill set around engagement including as a technologist with experience implementing large scale projects in financial services, automotive and healthcare; an executive producer, writer and co-host of Get Connected TV a national television show airing through PBS; an award-winning economic developer working in community engagement; and a startup co-founder designing the latest in app technology. Karolyn knows what it takes to keep a team engaged against all odds. Karolyn has been covered in The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest, The Globe and Mail, CBC, The Chicago Tribune, GCN and SD Times. She was recognized as one of the Top 99 Limit Breaking Female Founders by Arianna Huffington's Thrive Global and her technical white papers have been published by various industry magazines. She was recruited in 2013 to help address the pediatric healthcare crisis in South Africa at the request of the Nelson Mandela family. That work would lead to the creation of InspireHUB and the development of the award-winning IHUBApp(TM). Today, that platform is helping small businesses to create digital experiences (apps, websites, hubs, portals) in a safe environment. In 2012, after 17 years of making people feel uncomfortable that she was working in technology with no degree, Karolyn decided to make them more uncomfortable by obtaining a Bachelor of Religious Education from Emmanuel Bible college. She is happy to report that neither the science nor religious communities have yet to be able to remove her sense of humor.
