Harold Williams is a Producer and Writer who is passionate about telling diverse stories of people of the African Diaspora. Hailing from Philadelphia and residing in Brooklyn, Williams started his career sleeping on his frat brother's couch while working as a Production Assistant on films and reality shows in New York. Frustrated with his lack of upward mobility in the industry, Harold has spent the last 6 years independently writing and producing web series, digital content, short films, and documentaries. Most recently he was one of 10 projects accepted into the Producers Guild of America Diversity Workshop for his original unscripted show "Unpacking Blaq". He is the winner of "Best Web Series" and "Comedy Writing" award at the 2018 American Black Film Festival. This year he released his first short film, "HUSH". The story documents the journey of a young black man to save his relationship by attending group therapy but struggles to face his childhood trauma. Thus far it is the winner of the University Film and Video Association Conference for "Best Short Film". Williams' work explores black male identity and vulnerability through alternate worlds and nuanced circumstances. His work pushes the boundaries of how we see people of color and their worlds.
