Tory Spooner, better known as Twinn, is a hip hop artist and songwriter from Houston Texas. Formerly with Jive Records, Twinn's career has been a journey of extreme highs and lows, truly testing his character. Twinn's ability to deal with a cut throat industry no doubt relates to his turbulent upbringing, with good and bad angels drifting in and out of the picture. As a troubled young teen, a pen and pad would prove to be Twinn's ultimate self-guide through all of life's chaos. Now, after a rollercoaster career-ride and recent hiatus, the proud family man, and much respected lyricist returns! This time, with an extra flavor of entrepreneurial prowess. Twinn's resurgence is upon us! Be ready! In 2003, Twinn was discovered by industry mogul Armah "Mr. G" David - CEO of Undertaker Entertainment. Independent and hungry for respect, the Undertakers traveled the world selling mixtapes and performing in local night clubs. In late 2007, Twinn hooked up with Sean Kingston. After talking on the phone, Kingston made Twinn an offer to become the first artist on his imprint "Time Is Money Entertainment". However, a year later, Twinn's valuable contributions had merely been in exchange for a bunch of empty promises. It didn't take Twinn long to bounce back, with his mixtape "Theme Music" and music video "Houston TX", featured on World Star Hip Hop. Soon after, a Jive Records A&R contacted him, asking if he'd be interested in a showcase the label hosted quarterly. They said his music would be perfect for it. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Twinn accepted. He was then flown to New York to perform a catalog of his material in front of Jive executives. On his last record, Twinn was sweating and out of breath from giving it his all. A man by the name of Mark Pitts then stood up and gave him a round of applause, with everyone following suit. He then walked over to Twinn, put his hand on his shoulder, and said "there's a place called home for you here with Jive". That meant a lot to Twinn, coming from the former manager of The Notorious B.I.G. and president of Jive Record's Urban Division. Although he was released from Jive 2 years later, Twinn says he has no regrets and will forever cherish that special opportunity. Throughout his career, Twinn has worked with some familiar names, such as Sean Kingston, Pleasure P, Akon, Lloyd, John Legend, Jim Jonsin, Mike Banger, Needlz, The Monsters & Strangerz, Deezle, and Mr. Inkredible, to name a handful. As always, Twinn's primary focus is pushing the musical boundaries. However, the now revitalized Twinn is creating a whole new edge to his style, with a more powerful industry approach. He will be enhancing his brand like nothing before, incorporating his other areas of skill and knowledge such as modeling, fashion and acting.
