Michael Ballhaus

Michael Ballhaus fue un director de fotografía alemán. Trabajó en muchas películas estadounidenses, incluyendo Baby It's You (1983), Old Enough (1984), After Hours (1985), The Colour of Money (1986), The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), Goodfellas (1990), Dracula (1992), The Age of Innocence (1993), Gangs of New York (2002) y The Departed (2006). Ballhaus fue nominado tres veces para el Premio de la Academia a la Mejor Fotografía, por Broadcast News (1987), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) y Gangs of New York (2002), pero nunca ganó. Su hijo Florian Ballhaus también es un director de fotografía que trabajó en Flightplan (2005) y The Devil Wears Prada (2006). Ballhaus murió el 11 de abril de 2017, a la edad de 81 años.
