Harold Batista

Harold Batista was born near Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1986. He formerly lived and worked as an artist and media producer in New York City, where he began his event streaming company Delphinidae Appearances. Harold received a full tuition scholarship to study fine arts at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 2004 and was twice invited to study at the Whitney Museum's Independent Study Program, once in studio practice and once in critical studies between 2014-2016. His work has been shown at the Anthology Film Archives, Antonio Ratti Fondazione, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Miami Museum of Contemporary Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., La Mama La Galleria in New York, and the Freedom Tower in Miami, Florida. He began transitioning from fine art to narrative cinema in 2019 as he pursues a directing masters at Temple University where he holds a Future Faculty Fellowship.
