Sarah Jenny began her professional costume design career at the age of 14, when she was commissioned to make a "Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles" costume for a Basset Hound. By age 17, she was the Costume Designer for her first legitimate production: Northwest AIDS Foundation Benefit: A Tribute to Queen at the Nippon Kan Theater in Seattle. Since that first production, Sarah has worked on projects ranging from Theatrical to Feature Film and everything in between; including Music Videos, Custom individual Evening/Bridal and Costume designs, Repairing and Replicating garments for Museum Collections, manufacturing one of a kind Architectural Membrane Structures - designed by another artist - for installation in buildings ranging from the Experience Music Project in Seattle to a Symphony Hall at Princeton University. She even spent Her career was interrupted for a couple of years due to medical issues; but she is back to creating unique garments, costumes and accessories. In addition to the traditional materials used in clothing designs; Sarah Jenny is also skilled in designing with metals, beads, sculptural media, and combining electronics and digital media with all of the above. She is also experienced in the construction of functional historic armor, from boiled leather to chain maille.
