Dr. Zohar Rubinstein (PhD), is a clinical psychologist and trauma specialist as well as organizational psychologist. He is one of the founding members of The Interdisciplinary Master Program for Emergency and Disaster Management at the faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and a lecturer on the topics of his expertise: Mental Health in emergency & disaster situations; mental trauma; resilience. He also teaches in the master program for Organizational Behavior & Development and the academic leader of the practicum at the Interdisciplinary Center - IDC, Herzliya. His research interests are focused on Trauma and Resilience. He conducted a psycho-historical research on the narratives of therapists treating trauma during wars, and on Trauma Testimony. His article on the silence of trauma testimony will be published in a book titled "Testimony/Bearing Witness", which is the result of a lecture he gave at the International Conference Testimony, held at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2015. Zohar is the developer of the novel group intervention model titled "Intensive Short Term Group Intervention in a Psychodynamic Approach" (also known as the "Train Group"), originally designed for treating traumatic casualties. In 2013 he established a multidisciplinary Israeli-German research group on Trauma and Architecture where the filmmaker Heinz Emigholz is a member among other scholars. He is the founder and CEO of R et al. consulting firm.
