Drayton Thomas Jaymes

Jaymes was born James Louis Stegenga on April 7, 1972 in High Point, North Carolina, to Ann Stegenga and Marc L. Stegenga. He is of German, Irish and Dutch decent. Jaymes attended High Point Central High School graduating in 1990. He then enlisted in the USAF and spent the next 4 years and 5 months stationed in Germany and Belgium as a security police officer. Over the years Jaymes had played in a variety of bands and even released a CD under his birth name in 2015. Since he was a kid he has always been an entertainer doing impressions and trying to make people in school laugh to fit in with the crowd. His girlfriend suggested he do something he always wanted to try and take an acting class at South of Broadway Theater in Charleston, South Carolina. After getting over his cold feet, he completed the class and loved the process of creating the character. From there he proceeded to take method acting classes at Michael Givens and Associates (MGA) in Charleston, South Carolina with director/ cinematographer Michael Givens. During an open class he was spotted by a talent agent from Red Willow Talent who was impressed with how he drew her into the character he was portraying. Drayton Thomas Jaymes is hoping for his opportunity to bring his unique talents to the big screen and the small screen.
