Jacob Stockton

Jacob Oliver Stockton was born on the 27th of May, 1998 in the north-east of England in Newcastle upon Tyne. Jacob and his older brother were raised by their Mother after their Father left at a young age. Growing up, Jacob hated school and would often fake feeling unwell to stay off and watch films all day. Jacob strongly believed that school was "a waste of time". Due to suffering severe anxiety at a young age, watching films was his way of coping with his worries. He decided after leaving school to study 'Media' at Newcastle College from 2014 to 2017. After a three year study at Newcastle College, and upon the completion of his course, Jacob decided that he didn't want to stay in education any longer. Taking a one year break, Jacob came up with the idea to make a short film company 'Fully Loaded Productions'. Here, he recruited a group of friends where they would make short films throughout the summer of 2018. Whilst making short films in the summer, Jacob decided he wanted to go to University and applied to study Film and Television at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne. However, he was turned away due to poor grades. He went back to Newcastle College for one year to do a foundation course in Art and Design. In the summer of 2019, Jacob received his grades and was later accepted at Northumbria University. In 2019, he moved into halls and trained as a film director at the University till 2022.
