Bas van Doorn

Bas van Doorn was born and raised in the countryside of the Netherlands. Being an outdoorsman, from a young age on he was very active in sports like cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, soccer, swimming, and judo. After high school, he decided to get an education in sports and work in the fitness industry, where he worked as a (group)fitness instructor and personal trainer. Next to his passion for sports, from a young age on he really enjoyed acting. Not only would he act in school plays, but he would also entertain (and at times terrorize) his family and surroundings with different kinds of sketches. This allowed him to really use his boundless energy, imagination, and curiosity. In 2009, he successfully auditioned for the Amsterdam Dungeon, which would be his first paid acting job. From then on, it was inevitable for him to be bitten by the acting bug and he decided to pursue a career as an actor. This made him move to the capital of the Netherlands; Amsterdam. Once arrived in Amsterdam, he was hungry to grow as an actor and wanted more. As of today, he continues to hone his craft as an actor by taking ongoing acting classes, playing in various (short) movies and commercial productions both in the Netherlands as abroad.
