OPPENHEIMER: THE BLUE EYES THAT SHOCKED THE WORLD By: FERNANDO MARCH (PERÚ)

OPPENHEIMER, Christopher Nolan's film, has just won. Huge triumph for a film that explored the intimate side, the most hidden side of a scientist who became “the most influential man of science of the first half of the 20th century.” Based on the Oppenheimer novel American Prometheus

by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, the film gives us a very polarized image of the soul of a scientist seduced by the experience of the power and expansive cataclysm of science. Located in a world where

The most brilliant minds of his time struggled to understand the secrets of the atom and its scope at a military level, Robert Julius Oppenheimer had the ability to motivate teamwork based on the

most disparate and contradictory genius that atomic theory ever had. He knew how to direct them like a master of ceremonies, like an orchestra director. He knew how to introduce them to a task that was far from being a spring odyssey. He knew how to introduce them in a preamble to the most intimidating genocide the world has ever experienced. The Cold War arose from there and Robert J. Oppenheimer himself was a victim of that; However, he never decided to sell the secrets that you had in his possession. The scandalous way in which he was persecuted says a lot about what kind of people benefited from his genius and then expectorated him.

Cillian Murphy, is Oppenheimer revived. Robert Downey Jr. is an admirable villain. They become an unbearable nemesis deserving of their unobjectionable fate. Emily Blunt is powerful and increasingly deserving of recognition from the Academy. Her role as a conflictive wife brings the great tormented scientist to a paroxysm. Christopher Nolan is the axis of this masterpiece that seeks to help us understand the incomprehensible. May we accept the unacceptable. Nolan has gone beyond his time as a comics director to give us a testimony of how much the United States feels about having made life difficult for the person who gave it the power it now possesses. Thus, Hollywood gives us a masterpiece of historical science, to plunge us, headlong and without mercy, into the volatilizing furnace of its wonderful cataclysm.
