Mujeres en el cine's review about The White Lotus(2021)

PAINFULL and GENIUS! It hurts to watch, but it is great.

If I had to choose one word to describe this series created by Mike White it would be captivating. The high level of its scripts is wonderful, it's a series that understands the historical moment in which it takes place and at the same time addresses feelings that are so universal and timeless. I'm glad Jennifer Coolidge won everything. Both seasons have great casts, the casting is outstanding.

It’s Like a Satiric Novel.I didn’t feel any different when I watched the first few episodes. After watching the first season, I realized that this drama is actually very literary, and it’s not contemporary literature, it’s those ironies of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries novel, very interesting.

Quero mais temporadas, por favor!.A melhor série do tipo. Um humor muito picante, mas no bom sentido. Você morre de rir com cada personagem e, ao mesmo tempo, sente o drama com algumas mensagens bem profundas. Eu amo isso.

Cool, but mm....I didn't exactly love this one, but I did think the casting was dead-on, each actor delivered such perfect preformances, and you could just see how that tied the whole thing together, the way they fed so well off of each other. That sold it for me. I buy it, I'm not entirely sure I was entertained, though.

Definitely a trip.Loved the characters, made me think real hard about some things and re-think some others, each one is such an exaggerated caricature and everything is so damn ridiculously "first worldly problematic", the only other things we can do is take it, laugh, or cry.

Gone too soon.Loved this, flawless casting and despite some obvious plot points, the little surprises in there really made it grow on me. Ended too soon, I'd go for another round, easy.
