Green Manor (2011)

Green Manor is the story of Jim, who's desperately trying to leave his crazy abusive girlfriend, Sunshine. Sunshine is the breadwinner and has given Jim an ultimatum, "marry me or get out!" Jim sees an advertisement that reads, "Free rent in exchange for managing an apartment building" Jim secretly accepts a job as the property manager for a section 8 apartment building in the middle of the ghetto. The owner of the building, Blanch Green (slum lord) refuses to fix any of the city ordered repairs. Jim takes the job as a way out of his current living situation because he's broke. Jim establishes new and close relationships with the tenants. A drug dealing maintenance man that pretends not to speak English, drunk college kids that never have the rent, a couple of homeless nut jobs and a charming hooker become Jims new family who protects him from his psycho bi-polar ex-girlfriend.
