Sweet

After struggling with her mothers alcoholism, Kate attends Alanon meetings, (Alcoholics-Anonymous for family members) to try and mend already fractured relationship with her mum. Though being told these will offer solace and refuge for her absorbed trauma, she has difficulty verbalizing her emotions. In a search for escape, Kate attends a friends house party and takes a pill that is given to her. She loses control, blacks out and is sexually assaulted by one of the boy's. In the aftermath Kate searches for answers in those around her and when all fails she returns to another Alanon meeting, ready to speak before her experiences swallow her whole.
