NADINE BRYANT, a successful Philadelphia lawyer, feels the guilt of winning cases for seedy clients when fate steps in. A mysterious elderly woman implores Nadine to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to investigate a 100-year-old crime against the residents of all Black district of Greenwood, a crime with implications that span a century. In Tulsa, Nadine meets the up-and-coming politician, BEN ROWLAND who has decided to run against Tulsa's incumbent mayor. Nadine discovers the cover up of the Tulsa Race Riots of 1921 and her own family's ties to the event. Together Nadine and Ben dig up the evidence of what really happened to the Black residents and businesses of Greenwood also known as Black Wall Street.
