Bottom (1983)

"Bottom" is the story of one of William Shakespeare's most famous fictional characters, Nick Bottom. The story of a man with a dream, the dream of someday becoming an actor. Bottom was born in London in 1576 and was employed by Shakespeare. Due to lack of talent, Nick became the butt of several jokes. Despite that, everyone liked Nick because he tried so hard at everything he did. Sometimes Nick tried too hard. Like the time in 1613 when a torch he was holding dropped and the Globe Theatre burned to the ground. Bottom lost his life in that fire. The ruins of the Globe Theatre were brought to American and used in the building of an Elizabethan mansion. In this comedy film, Bottom remains on earth haunting the mansion while a young girl's inheritance of the house and the problems she must solve to run it make up the story line.
