Unconditional (2020)

David, a closeted 16-year-old, hears the news that his secret boyfriend, Christopher, is being forced to move away after his deeply religious parents have just discovered their relationship. The only means David has of seeing him one last time is by convincing his father, Peter, who knows nothing of David's sexuality or secret relationship, to drive him to Christopher's house. Although reluctant at first, David manages to persuade his father to drive him by lying, claiming he wants to see a girl. As the narrative progresses the two open up to one another until they arrive at Christopher's house where David gets the chance to see his boyfriend one last time. It is here that David's lie unravels, exposing the truth to his father, Peter.
