Luzia, le petit ange (1997)

Luzia Zberg, champion cyclist aged 25 has reached world level. Having decided since childhood not to be beaten by her two brothers, she has won victory after victory, formerly in gym shorts and a t-shirt, now in a line of clothes specially designed for her. The champion has not however left her village of Silenen at the foot of the Gothard, where she lives with her parents. Mrs Zberg irons, Mr Zberg cuts wood, the children pedal: winning is a family business. Lucia is preparing to compete in the world championships in 1995. She aims to win. In feminine cycling it is the only way to make a name for oneself. The priest hopes for more keenness for her. God, the great father, will he bless his daughter with a new victory even if it is at the price of a "sponsor"?
