Hephaestia (2020)

A re-imagining of the events succeeding Odysseus' departure from Calypso's island home, as seen from her perspective. Hephaestia is a Fashion film showcasing Sarah Portelli's ( AKA 'is-Sinjurina' ) one off designs made from discarded fabric. Made in collaboration with Alamango Films and Inspired by Homer's epic 'The Odyssey': 'Hephaestia' is a re-imagining of the events succeeding Odysseus's departure from the island of Calypso. Inspiration was also taken from traditional Maltese mythology and folklore in order to create a fantasy setting with a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere that paid homage to the unique features of Comino.
