The Spider is about the bonds that tie us to our past and our impossible attempts to escape them. Declan is a fastidious loner whose world is thrown upside down when a spider appears on his bathroom window. Prompting a journey into a dark past and a tumultuous family history, Declan is forced to confront his demons with harrowing and horrifying consequences. With stunning black-and-white photography and a creepy, brooding score, The Spider is the short film debut of director, Nick Richardson.
