Sarpanch allows a Tamasha troupe to perform in his village his son Dhanajirao goes to see the performance along with Chanderrao and falls in love with beauty of Manjula,Dhanajirao is married to Laxmi with to kids but that doesn't stop him and frequently meets Manjula and both fall in love village suddenly gets heavy rains and Dhanajirao cant meet Manjula he tells Sarpanch that he is going to meet his aunt and goes to the other end of the stormy lake to meet Manjula.His aunt comes home an family finds the truth from Chandarrao that Dhanajirao has gone to meet Manjula Sarpanch passes away due to shock and Dhanajirao decides to stay away from Manjula.Dhanajirao finds from Chankya that Manjula has stopped performing and is just waiting for him to comeback.
