Kathe kaimos kai dakry (1964)

With her father presumed dead during the dark years of the German occupation in Athens, the poor but honest young toiler, Fani, struggles to make ends meet working as a secretary for the wealthy businessman, Petras. Her ailing mother, Despo, who suffers from cardiovascular disease, has a high risk of a heart attack--and to make matters worse--a treasonous theft at the office threatens to put Fani behind bars. Only her kind friend, Nikos, can help the wronged woman; however, where should he start? In the end, is Fani truly guilty?
