On the Divide (1928)

Jim Carson arrives in Lariat County in time to avert the foreclosure of the mortgaged Martin ranch by a gang of range-grabbers. A special interest in Sally Martin quickly develops, but it takes a little while longer for Jim to recover the stolen mortgage, battle his way through a dozen bad guys, and identify the chief villain by his broken watchcase. Peace being restored to the area, Jim and Sally are free to settle on the Martin ranch.
