A young man is alone in a house and enters his roommate's room to find lit candles with a Satanic ritual book in the middle of the candles. The young man discovers that a ritual was begun (but not completed) in which a human receives knowledge in exchange for his soul.
Though alone in the house, the young man hears noises & footsteps; he sees human-like shadows; electronic devices turn themselves on & off; lights turn themselvs on & off.
Something unseen tries to force its way into a bathroom where a man is hiding.
Household objects and furniture move by themselves, sometimes breaking.
The young man tries to open the doors to escape, but finds himself locked in the house. Objects he tries to use to break windows are mysteriously wrenched from his hands.
A little girl wearing a creepy mask is seen briefly running through different parts of the house.
A dark spirit talks to the young man, and tells him he must exchange knowledge for his soul, or select someone else to lose their soul instead. The language is not English, but we are given English subtitles.
The film is very clean from an objective standpoint of nudity, profanity, and gore, with absolutely none. It is however a slow, but highly suspensful, psychological thriller that might be disturbing to young audiences.
