Taner Hassan

Taner Hassan Born in Southend-On-Sea, Essex Irish Mother and Cypriot Father. Taner's first appearance in a movie (Bermondsey Tales: Rise and fall of the Roman Empire) 2023. Taner is an Actor, Presenter, Musician & Celebrity Therapist. In 2001 auditioned as a contestant on ITV Popstars where Hearsay and LibertyX were formed. Narrowing down to the last 14, Taner formed a band with contestants Raymond and Warren to form Trinity. Appearing on the Big Breakfast, Disney Channel, MTV with Richard Blackwood. With two record deals on the table (Arctic Records, Warner Bros) the deals fell through and Taner continued to write for artists performing with the likes of Lionel Ritchie and Girls Aloud. Taner also went on Tour with the 2Smart Roadshow with Heart FM and Essex Police. Releasing his own album 'Back In The Day' and single 'Back in 94' Feat. UK Rapper Jibbarish. Reviewed in Big Smoke Magazine and Hip Hop Village. Taner openly shares his experience with Addiction and stopped performing and auditioning following a disastrous return on ITV Popstars the Rivals, where he was under the influence and didn't get past the first round unlike his first experience. This contributed to a turning point in his life as the decline in his mental Health prompted him to get Sober and Clean and has been for over 17 years. 2009 Taner trained at the London Academy as a TV Presenter with mentors Peter Purves and Sally Grey. Taner was a presenter for UK's First DVD Magazine Inspired Flight (IFL) interviewing guests such as magician Dynamo & musician Joe Driscoll Taner has worked within the addiction field for over 16 years and went to night school to graduate as a Psychotherapist. Has been an Addiction Expert for over 12 years working within the private sector, NHS, HMP Services as well as a Celebrity Therapist and Performance Coach working with professional athletes and people in the public eye. Taner has appeared on ITV This Morning as an Addiction expert discussing issues around addiction, A guest on various Podcasts with the likes of Dodge Woodall, Daniel O'Reilly (Dapper Laughs), David Wilson (Sober Dave), Actor and Boxer Billy Moore to name a few.
