The adorable Sarah C. Patterson was born many years before you would ever guess, to a family that focused on her joyful and bright spirit instead of her Down Syndrome. When asked what her disability is, she quickly responds: "I wear glasses!" She then jumps right back in and says "Oh, and I have Down Syndrome, but that's not a disability - that's who I AM." With this enviable sense of self, Sarah has an uncanny ability to draw the best from others and to make all of those around her feel comfortable and happy. An experienced speaker, Sarah has spoken at the Special Olympics, the Idaho Commission for the Blind, and at Miss Amazing national competition, where she recently relinquished her crown. Sarah has many other speaking and hosting credits under her belt and has spoken on topics from the disabled in the workplace to the importance of strong self-esteem. Sarah is a media darling, who has been interviewed by several networks and magazines...but her most memorable (to date!) appearance before the camera was doing red carpet interviews before the premiere of a film. Celebrities love her as much as she loves them, and she has been granted interviews by many known people for her book Inspired!, including Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes), Wesley Eure (Land of the Lost), Miles Barbee (Broadway's Spring Awakening), Kathleen Kinmont (Renegade) and Monique Lanier (Life Goes On). As an actress, Sarah has an agent in LA and has been studying acting with producer/casting director Catrine McGregor. She will soon be seen in a PSA for the Man-Up Crusade, an anti-domestic abuse non-profit organization. Another of Sarah's passions is fitness. When not working at Starbuck's, she is often in the gym or on the slopes. Fitness, like life itself, makes Sarah smile.
