Albertini

Alberto González Cantillo "Albertini" is a Colombian director, animator, producer and occasional DJ, known for his music videos and television commercials. Albertini was born in Galapa, Atlántico (Colombia) is the youngest of 2 siblings, children of Adela Cantillo and Antonio González. His father worked as a merchant in Barranquilla, Colombia but was an occasional musician and played guitar and incised art and sports into his two children. His father died when Albertini was only 5 years old. His mother was left alone in charge of her two children. At a very young age, he often wanted to become an animator, inspired by Japanese series such as Space Adventure Cobra, Centella, Mazinger Z and the entire anime movement. At age 13 he managed to work at the most important animation company of Barranquilla in his time, GMC Television (1989) that had a 3D animation system called Video Toaster 4000 with the software Newtek Lightwave 3D. He traded work in exchange for access and training in this system. From then on his career was growing, from camera assistant to cameraman, animation assistant, main animator and editor. Over time and with his early love for photography, he ended up doing fieldwork in production design, cinematography and all this led to directing. Working in companies like Mejía & Asociados as general producer for the channel Telecaribe, managing the production of more than 12 programs on air, Sonovista Publicidad as Director of Content for Radio and Television until setting up his own company Digiart Producciones in the city of Bogotá, Colombia, which had as its main customers Sony Music Entertainment, Codiscos, Sonovista Advertising, Davilas Communications, Toro Music Group, Decimal Talent, among others. In 2019 he moved his offices to Los Angeles, California with a new company Mokana LLC, focused on the production of Music Videos, TV Commercials, Live Events and content for digital platforms, serving its customers in both Latin America and the United States.
