Amelia Ryan

Amelia Ryan is a character actress with nearly five decades of performing experience. Since the late nineties, she has been active on stage in Fresno, CA, performing as Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie, Scottie in This Random World, Aunt Lavinia in The Heiress, Ma Joad in The Grapes of Wrath, Melissa in Love Letters, Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza, Katharine Gerard in Mothers and Sons, Mistress Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Kate Keller in All My Sons, Kate Mundy in Dancing at Lunasa, Kate in Sylvia, Natasha in Rough Crossing, Mrs. Lyons in Blood Brothers, and Desiree in A Little Night Music. In Fresno, she has been affiliated with Good Company Players, StageWorks Fresno, Woodward Shakespeare Festival, and Fresno State University. Before moving to California, Amelia Ryan lived in Germany for several years, and sang with the opera company in Kiel and the summer chamber opera in Constance (Konstanz). Previous to her time in Germany, she performed in the Washington, DC, area in A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theatre, in God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater at Arena Stage, and in several musicals on local stages.
