James Henry Hall was born in Pontiac, Michigan in 1984 to Bryan and Cheri Hall. As a child his dad would cup his hands together and read imaginary stories from an "invisible book." This nightly family tradition sparked an early love for storytelling. At age nine, his father gave him an old camera for Christmas. James used it to make short films around the house using family members as cast members. Then, in his early twenties, James relocated to LA where he immersed himself in the field by getting on any film set he could, in any capacity he could. A game-changer occurred when he was asked by his friend, Morgen Peter Brown, to assist on a film he was co-producing entitled "Absentia," directed by Mike Flanagan. Helping out on that production left James inspired to write/produce/direct his own films. He teamed up with his uncle and produced the short film "Spin," which led to them finding financing for a feature film of the same name. The film was picked up for distribution through Continuum and solidified the new then, Magical Jungle Productions, as a hub for content within the horror/thriller genre. To date, their roster includes "Dolus," "Harbinger," "Spin," and the upcoming "A Ben Evans Film."
