Jolie Mayfield

Jolie Mayfield was born on June 21, 1985. She was earning her bachelors in English at Howard Payne University when she met future director, Brandon Allen Powell. A friendship developed over time and when it came time for the director to begin preproduction on his low budget debut film, "Trial by Self," he asked Jolie if she would like to work on the film as his assistant director. She agreed to this, even though she knew nothing about film production. A fast learner, Jolie not only served as the film's assistant director, but also did other chores, such as sound mixing and boom operating. She even appears on-screen in a small role.
