When Ian's parents got married in Canada, they moved to Hawaii where Ian was born and then moved to California. Ian attended Harvard Boys Prep School (now Harvard-Westlake). He matriculated to UCSD (University of California at San Diego) and after graduating there went to Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences in North Chicago, Illinois where he gained his M.D.(Medical Doctorate). He then did his Ob/Gyn (Obstetrics & Gynecology) 4 year residency at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and part time at Loma Linda University (Redlands, California). When he graduated from residency he joined his father in an Ob/Gyn practice where he is today in Woodland Hills, California. His father has since retired & passed away. Ian retired from delivering babies in 2006 to focus on menopausal management. Along the way he got married and had two children. Ian has passion for family, sports most notably hockey and soccer, politics especially when it comes to health care and electric vehicles with particular interest in Tesla which is how he came to land roles on reality TV shows like "A Baby Story" then "My Ride Rules" and finally his big 'break' cameo in the full-length feature film, "Revenge of the Electric Car" where he plays himself and probably gets the biggest laugh of the whole movie with his line about "boneless chicken ranch" which was an homage to Gary Larson and the "Far Side".
