Sarah Saturday is a musician, producer, writer, and performance artist also known as Gardening, Not Architecture. She has released several albums, singles, remixes, and collaborations since 2007. She toured the U.S. and Canada multiple times between 2009-2012 as a solo performer with homemade light shows. In 2012, she relocated to Nashville from Los Angeles and began focusing on film scoring and multimedia performances, releasing a feature-length visual album in 2015. In 2016, she began incorporating film projection into her live performances, and has since developed various iterations of a one-woman show involving music, meditation, poetry, improvised movement, lights, and projection. During her time in Nashville, she has scored a feature film, several short films, and television shows under her own name. As Gardening, Not Architecture, Sarah has made a name for herself in the Nashville performance art community with her deeply vulnerable, complex, visually stunning performances.
