Aiona is a screenwriter in Seattle. She started writing when she bet a friend that she'd turn his book into a movie or else she'd eat a cricket. She ate the cricket anyway, because she was curious. Also, she found out that she loved writing screenplays. She specializes in happily-ever-afters. Her first film was produced by the amazing award-winning Tacoma actor/director/producer Jason Lee Daniel. It starred two fantastic actors (Ashley Noelle Jackson and Charles Reccardo) who came together by chance when her first pick for the hero became sick with a stomach bug. Spurred on by her friend Neil Thompsett who inspires her with his love of swords and history, she went on to write her first feature film script about a nerd who falls in love with a beautiful woman online, only to find out she's old enough to be his grandma. In January 2017, she optioned Bracy Ratcliff's young adult series "Mike Madison, Intrepid Explorer," and is developing a TV series that, unlike "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm in the Middle," tries to portray dads in a good light, a la "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" or the now disavowed "Cosby Show."
