Her blues-rock soul band, Rhonda and The Great Unknown, which was co-founded with partner Ritchie Swann, performs in music venues and festivals across the UK as well as recording songs for her film projects. The Brilliant Book is a British children's television series created by Rhonda Merrick. The program follows the adventures found inside a book as seen through the eyes of a boy and his friends. It features educational content which is communicated through the use of child actors Benjamin John Taylor, Daniel Swann and Phillip Swann. The show uses animation, sudden bursts of music created by rock band Rhonda and The Great Unknown, Jessica Taylor's art work, short films, humorous skits performed by members of Black Pepper Productions, James Watts, Kit Stevens (Kit and Barry), Ryan Hill and Anna Louise Sidat. The series premiered nationally on the Community Channel on November 4, 2014. The format of The Brilliant Book consists of an animated introduction set to instrumental music created for the show by composer and multi-instrumentalist Ritchie Swann. The debut series in 2014 consisted of 26 episodes of The Brilliant Book and are all hosted by child actor Benjamin John Taylor. Each episode is loosely based on a letter of the alphabet. After receiving a small loan from AIM Start-up's, Merrick moved the show beyond the 26 letters of the alphabet to have each episode based adventures found inside specific books. http://TheBrilliantBook.com
