Bill Murray is one of Hollywood's most eccentric figures, with a career marked by constant reinvention, moving seamlessly from slaptick comedy to intense drama. Interested in philosophy and mysticism, the eclectic Murray often avoids the Hollywood scene, making him elusive unless he chooses to be found. As a comedian, he initially joined the National Lampoon Radio Hour, and later on Saturday Night Live in 1975. Murray's career skyrocketed thereafter, starring in such comedy classics as "Meatballs" (1979), "Caddyshack" (1980) and "Ghostbusters" (1984) and in critically acclaimed films such as "Lost in Translation" (2003) which earned him a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award.
